Savannah | Bunbury Newborn Photography
Savannah came in for her mini session with me and oh my I was pleasantly suprised with how settled she was. Mini’s are only an hour long so we usually rush through what we can while baby is sleeping. This isn’t a problem because the parent’s only need to choose 5 awsome images. But when I have a baby as good as Savannah oh boy are her parent’s going to struggle picking their favorite 5 images!
I don’t use orange very often but I felt like mixing thing’s up a bit as I’ve had so many little girl’s in the studio lately and I’m so glad I did because Savannah absolutely rock’s the apricot. My favorite image of all from the gallery though is this dream catcher image. The dream catcher is a composite image, Savannah was actually still tucked up nice and warm and safe on the bean bag in my studio when I took this. I simply merged that image into another image I took in August last year. I’m just going to take a moment to say.. I love photoshop!
We also did a milk bath for this sweet little princess. I have the cutest clawfoot bath which is sized for newborns and toddlers. Except I don’t use milk, I can’t stand the smell of it! I use cornflour which gives a milky look but not the horrid smell. They actually use to use cornflour on a baby’s nappy area to avoid nappy rash so no problem to use in the bath. We just give baby an extra rinse before we dry them off so they don’t go all powdery when the water dries. In the milk bath we used fresh flowers so lots of green and purple and it looks absolutely stunning!
