Lilah | Newborn Shoot

Lilah | Newborn Shoot

What a pleasure it was to photograph Lilah. Lilah belong’s to a life long family friend. I was very honoured to be asked to photograph their first baby. Lilah was a great sleeper (Trust me, not all babies are – but I don’t mind a challenge haha). This above images is a set I hadn’t tried before but I love how it turned out, the tie back is from Handmade headbands by sarah if you want to check them out. I thnk red suited Lilah perfectly and the colours draw you into all her perfect dainty details.

Here is another new set that I hadn’t tried before. This basket is reasonably new and oh lordy was it expensive! pushing $100 by the time it got to me. But well worth it, it’s the perfect size for newborns and sitter sessions too. I made this wrap years ago and never used it, often considdered throwing it out.. but lucky I didn’t because it was perfect for this set.  Another tie back creation from handmade headbands by sarah featured here too. I love the rustic vibe going on in this image, and Lilah is the star attraction.

Lilah all tucked up safely in this photograph in her Daddy’s arms. Jake took posing like a duck to water. This is one of my favorite shots to do with dad and baby. It shows just how small they were.
